On September 9, 2026, the Mount Sinai Mobile Mammogram Screening Van returned to the front of the Queens Civil Supreme Courthouse in Jamaica. The event successfully provided vital radiological services to members of the bar, court employees, and the broader Queens community, ensuring access for insured, underinsured, and uninsured individuals alike. JALBCA's sponsorship of this initiative directly furthers our core mission to promote awareness, early detection, treatment, and support for everyone affected by breast cancer.
Arriving at the busy start of the school year and the fall season, the event served as a critical reminder to prioritize yearly breast cancer screenings. While breast cancer remains the second-leading cause of cancer death among American women, overall mortality rates have decreased by more than 40% since 1989 due to advancements in treatment and early detection. Catching malignancies early is essential to successfully treating the disease and halting its progression.
Since 1985, October has been designated as Breast Cancer Awareness Month. With the approaching month, this event successfully expanded healthcare access, fostered community awareness, and reminded everyone of the necessity of this vital act of self-care.

The Mammovan offers easy access to digital 3D mammogram technology, and we also use artificial intelligence for a more precise breast cancer diagnosis. We can also help connect women needing further diagnostics and/or treatment with the appropriate resources at a convenient location. The Mammovan provides breast screening mammograms for women ages 40+ who have not had a mammogram in the past year and do not have any known breast problems. We help insured, underinsured, and uninsured. On the day of your appointment please bring:
